Tom Brady is apparently in talks with Netflix to star in a roasted special amid reports that his inner circle is apparently trying to dissuade him from an attempt to launch a career in stand-up comedy to win back ex-wife Gisele Bündchen.
According to RadarOnline, the newly retired quarterback wants to try his hand at comedy in one last attempt to reunite with his supermodel ex. They divorced last October after 13 years of marriage – a move that coincided with Brady’s decision to retire and play one more season in the NFL.
Meanwhile, TMZSports says Brady is in talks with Netflix over the ‘roast special’, which apparently has the working title ‘The Greatest Roast Ever’, but claims he’s not pursuing a full career in comedy. .
Radar adds that Brady’s people are not encouraging him to pursue a new comedian career. A source is quoted by Radar as saying: ‘Tom was a fantastic quarterback, but he needs to scrap that idea before it’s too late. As a comedian, he is strictly a water boy.
That said, there was some praise for the 45-year-old’s sense of humor.
Tom Brady is apparently considering trying a career as a comedian as part of his final efforts to try and win back his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen following their divorce last October.

Brady and Bundchen were married for 13 years, but the upheaval of Brady’s retirement last year was a factor in her decision that their marriage was over.

Brady’s people are reportedly trying to stop him from trying a career as a stand-up comedian.
“He does a great impersonation of former teammate Rob Gronkowski and his over-the-top Boston accent is hilarious,” the source tells Radar.
Brady also took a break from the successful 10-year, $375 million contract waiting for him at Fox Sports to be an analyst during the NFL season now that he has retired.
He won’t take up that role until 2024, saying he needed to relax from football, but Radar claims it’s actually because he wants Bündchen back.
“The biggest hurdle between them was Gisele’s complaints about Tom putting football before family, so he decided to show her he’s willing to focus on them before he takes the FOX job,” a source tells Radar. ‘His only goal now is to get his family back.’
The night before Brady confirmed his retirement, he was on the red carpet in Los Angeles for the premiere of his film ’80 for Brady’ – a comedy – alongside Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Rita Moreno.
“The women have been super nice to him and he’s done a good job reading professionally written material into a small role – but he’ll be playing in a whole different league if he takes the stage,” Radar quoted a source.
Brady announced his retirement from football the next morning and insisted he won’t change his mind this time around.
“I’m retiring for good,” Brady said in a social media video on Feb. 1. ‘I know the process was a big deal last time so when I woke up this morning I thought I’d record it let you guys know first.

Brady recently played a small role in a comedy film – ’80 for Brady’ – and the night before his retirement video attended the premiere with Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Rita Moreno

The next day, Brady posted his emotional retirement video but joked to his fans, ‘You only get one super emotional retirement shoot and I wore mine last year’

In recent weeks, Bundchen, 42, has been seen relaunching her modeling career.
‘It won’t be wordy. You only get one super emotional retirement essay and I used mine last year.
Bundchen, 42, responded to Brady’s video by saying: ‘I wish you only wonderful things in this new chapter of your life.’
While he’s considered a friendly figure outside of football, humor has never been something strongly associated with Brady beyond his movie. He always approached the sport with an intense and keen focus, and at times his temper got the better of him.
Last year, he was filmed complaining about his Tampa Bay Buccaneers teammates collapsing mid-game against the New Orleans Saints. He apparently broke two pills in his rage and admitted in his Let’s Go! podcast that he was “very p***ed”.
But it seemed to have the desired impact – the Bucs beat the Saints 20-10. However, even in the more relaxed environment of Let’s Go!, Brady never impressed listeners as a comedian.
In the weeks following his retirement announcement, Brady seemed to spend time mostly with his kids.
He has two with Gisele – 13-year-old Benjamin and 10-year-old Vivian, who he was also seen watching take riding lessons.

Brady’s last football game was on January 16, when the Bucs lost to the Dallas Cowboys.

But Brady left football the best quarterback the game has ever had – with Super Bowl wins
Brady also has another son, 15-year-old Jack, from his previous relationship with actress and model Bridget Moynahan.
Brady’s Bucs narrowly made the playoffs in his final season before being beaten 31-14 by the Dallas Cowboys on January 16 – his last game.
He retires with a reputation as the best quarterback to ever play in the NFL and has seven Super Bowl titles to his name.
Bündchen, in turn, relaunched her modeling career and was recently seen at a party at Rio’s carnival.
