pokemon concierge revealed the first trailer for the new Netflix spin-off series.
The stop-motion animation will tell the story of Haru, a concierge at the Pokémon Resort, and her interactions with the Pokémon and their owners who visit as guests. The brief clip introduces us to Psyduck, who is presumably Haru’s companion, with the Pokémon walking along the beach.
In an official statement, Minyoung Kim, vice president of content for Netflix Asia, said (via collider): “Netflix looks forward to delighting fans in Japan and around the world with pokemon concierge.

“(This) all-new visual and storytelling experience (features) innovative stop-motion animation, (and is) set in the Pokémon world in close collaboration with The Pokémon Company.
“We’re also excited to unveil this new series on Pokémon Day and provide fans with even more things to look forward to this special holiday celebrating the popular franchise.”
The new show will help fill the void left by Ash Ketchum, whose story concluded after his Pokémon World Championships triumph. After becoming “the best”, the boy from Pallet Town will be leaving the series later this year, with a bunch of new characters to be introduced.

Sarah Natochenny, who has voiced Ash for the past 17 years, recently spoke about the character’s developments, revealing that she was thrilled to hear the news.
“They said the thing (that Ash was going to leave), and my hand just physically gave out. And I started crying at this meeting,” she said. “The producers were also trying to hold things together for me, they kept talking in a very even tone. You could see some other actors on the call and the director starting to get emotional too, just seeing me, because we’re very close and This is so sad.”
There is currently no release date for pokemon concierge.
