Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang RETURNS to the Chelsea squad for the first time in a month ahead of the Tottenham clash, with Graham Potter looking to score after the Blues’ recent attacking struggles
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang returns to the Chelsea squad for the trip to Tottenham on Sunday, according to Sportsmail.
The forward has been on the back foot at Stamford Bridge in recent weeks but appears to be getting back into the fray amidst the Blues’ recent struggles in front of goal.
He was left at home for Chelsea’s recent trip to his old team Borussia Dortmund, who won the 1-0 draw.
Aubameyang is restricted to just 11 league games this season and has managed just one goal, but has a Premier League goalscoring record after scoring 92 goals for Arsenal.
Graham Potter’s side have scored just four goals in eight league games this year and will be hoping to return to form against London rivals Spurs.

The Blues face Tottenham on Sunday, desperately needing a win to help resurrect their season
A win for the north London side would move them 14 points above Chelsea in the league, while a win for the Blues would start to lift them back up the table at 10th.
Potter hinted that the Gabonese international could return earlier this week when he said Aubameyang was “competing for a spot” and had shown a “good response” to Chelsea’s struggles.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s game, the coach urged: ‘A strong performance. We need three points. It’s a game we’re looking forward to too. The training and the response were very good.
‘We’ve talked about it with individuals and as a group about attacking Tottenham. It’s a team that doesn’t give much, it defends deeply, we have to think about it’.
Tottenham manager Antonio Conte’s usual position on the sidelines will be taken by his assistant Christian Stellini on Sunday as Conte continues to recover from an operation.
Despite Chelsea’s disastrous recent form, Stellini encouraged patience with Potter, as he said: ‘The result sometimes doesn’t depend on how much better you are at your job or how well you are working, but maybe a different team needs more time. . It depends.
‘Sometimes you have to be patient. You have to wait for the right moment, the result also comes if you are not waiting.
‘Last season, we struggled a lot until February, but after that the team changed. It’s not always the same, the coach has to wait for the team to play and keep working and be confident in his work.’

Graham Potter’s side have won just twice in their last 14 games in all competitions
