Note: In this report of Netflix Watch Hours from Feb 20, 2023 to Feb 26, 2023, we will use “Complete Viewings Equivalent” or CVE expressed in millions. This means that we divide the watched hours advertised by Netflix by the running time of the movies or series. It allows for better comparisons between movies and series, but it is not an audience metric. It is the minimum number of views if all views are complete from the first to the last second of the movie or season.
1. Outer Margins Season three starts off with a bang.
The third season of Outer Margins It’s going great, thank you very much. With 17.7 million CVEs in the first four days, it is the third best launch for a new season of a US show launched on a Thursday, right after the second season of Ginny and Georgia.

two. we have a ghost It is the strays make very decent releases.
we have a ghost was Netflix’s top title on the movie side last week, and its launch is very good, with 19.1 million CVEs in the first weekend.
It’s not a top-tier release, but it’s also not a top-tier movie on Netflix’s lineup as a B-tier movie, it had a better release than A Homecoming Madea It is The Curse of Bridge Hollow.

Coming from the UK, tense thriller the strays also got off to a perfect start with CVEs 17.8 million in its first five days and the second best release for an international English-language film released on a Wednesday.

3. Murdaugh Murders makes a killer start.
Netflix documentary series generally tend to have a timely release schedule, but not as timely as the release of the Murdaugh Murders, given that the trial of this case is now taking place in the US.
The true crime documentary series, plus a timely release date, equals a record release for Murdaugh Murders. With 17 million CVEs in the first five days, it’s the best launch for any docuseries released in a Wednesday.

5. Triptych Is on fire.
The first season of Triptych did a great launch with 9M CVEs in the first five days, the best launch for a new series coming from Latin America in my book, not far from the best launch for an international series released on a Wednesday (10.5M for the series Polish High water). A very encouraging start!

Overall, it was a pretty good week for new Netflix movies and series, with lots of decent numbers.
