Coronation Street Killer Stephen Reid desperately tries to fight back tonight (Feb. 27) after he was indicted for conspiring against Carla Barlow.
Stephen has recently taken charge of the factory alongside his niece Sarah, taking over for Carla while she takes time off work.
Carla took a break from the factory when she feared her psychosis was returning. In reality, Carla is only struggling because Stephen is adding LSD to her drinks.
In Monday’s episode, Stephen goes a step further as he searches for a way to keep Carla out of the picture longer.

With Carla eager to get back to work sooner rather than later, Stephen gathers the factory team for an important meeting.
Having discovered that many of the underworld workers are also shareholders, Stephen suggests using his influence by holding a no-confidence vote.
Stephen argues that Carla needs more time to recover and is in no shape to run the factory.
Faye Windass feels differently, secretly reaching for her phone to let Carla know what’s going on.

Later, Carla returns to work and calls Stephen into her office, where she angrily confronts him for trying to throw her out of the business.
Unprepared to give up his ambitions, Stephen makes a sneaky phone call and tells his mystery contact he needs an urgent meeting. What is Stephen doing now?
Todd Boyce, who plays Stephen, recently commented, “(Carla) is a very popular character. So far (Stephen) has been targeting people who are relatively new characters that people didn’t really know about, but this is different.

“Chris Gascoyne (who plays Carla’s husband Peter) was so sweet about it, he said, ‘Oh man, you have no idea what’s going to happen when this starts.
“Ali (King) and I had great scenes together, really steamy scenes and I liked that and I think people liked her getting over him so they’re going to hate it when the tables turn.”
