Coronation Street – Amy’s harrowing story and more soap opera spoilers

Dark scenes air Corrie this week, when Aaron cheats on Summer by kissing Amy, and their passionate sex takes a sinister turn.

Summer is heartbroken to discover that her boyfriend has been talking late at night with his ex, Mia, and turns to Amy for comfort. Tracy’s daughter is less than sympathetic, labeling her needy and insecure, which Summer retaliates with a joke about Jacob.

Aaron finds an upset Amy after their fight and convinces her to join him for drinks at the Bistro to celebrate his promotion. There’s sexual tension in the air as the couple prepare to leave and it’s not long before they find themselves kissing.

Wracked with guilt, Amy pulls away, and when they reach the bar, she strains to see Summer and Aaron together. Hurt, Amy goes home early, and Aaron is not far behind when he decides to call it a night after shooting Summer.

Back at the apartment, Amy and Aaron play drinking games, drinking every drop of booze they can find. Feeling sick, Amy falls onto the bed, only for Aaron to climb in next to her.

When he starts kissing her, events take a terrible turn and Amy doesn’t realize that Aaron is taking advantage of her in the most terrible way.

2. Emmerdale: Paddy fears suicide

(Thursdays at 7.30pm on ITV1)

Paddy’s loved ones have been beside themselves with worry since his sudden disappearance, but the mystery of his whereabouts is solved this week when the disheveled vet returns to the village.

Though irritated with him for being gone, Marlon is relieved to have his best friend home. Chas’s initial hostility towards Paddy also subsides when he shares an emotional reunion with Eve and she sees the pain and sadness in his eyes.

However, despite putting on a brave face, Paddy’s happy facade soon crumbles and it becomes clear that he is a broken man. He spends the day making amends with family and friends, but they don’t realize that he is silently saying goodbye, and he writes a touching final letter to Bear.

Later, with Paddy gone, Bear discovers the letter and realizes, to his horror, what his son is planning. He alerts Marlon, who gathers the locals to start looking for Paddy.

3. EastEnders: Heartbreak for Whitney and Zack

(Mondays at 7.30pm and 8pm on BBC One)

Zack tries to remain upbeat as he and Whitney head to the hospital to hear the CVS test results. But tragically, the couple’s fears are confirmed when they discover that their unborn baby has been diagnosed with Edwards syndrome.

Zack struggles to cope with the baby’s grim prognosis and is unable to join Whitney as she heads back to the hospital. But after some words of encouragement from Sharon, he finds the strength to be there for Whit.

Meanwhile, the devastating turn of events leads Whitney to reject all offers of support from her loved ones. Urged on by Eve, Zack appears at Number 1 and gives Whitney a shoulder to cry on, assuring her that she is not to blame for her baby’s diagnosis.

4. Hollyoaks: Leah and Charlie Face the Music

(Tuesdays at 7pm on E4 and Wednesdays at 6.30pm on Channel 4)

As the investigation into Vicky’s spike in violence continues, an undercover tip gives Sam and Zoe the evidence they need to bring Charlie and Leah to the police station for questioning.

Shocked by this turn of events, the teenagers’ parents turn on each other pointing the finger at blame, but Scott surprises everyone by revealing that he was the one who called the police.

Darren and Nancy desperately fight to defend Charlie, but end up making things worse for him when they accidentally reveal what he told them.

Back at school, the atmosphere grows tense when DeMarcus discovers that Leah and Charlie were to blame for Vicky’s near-fatal overdose. And a slip of the tongue by Leah only adds to Felix’s son’s anguish.

5. Emmerdale: Cain fights for Kyle

As Kyle’s hearing approaches, a terrified Amy struggles to stay strong for her son. Cain is also scared and breaks into the Keepers to see Kyle, making Amy furious at his intrusion.

Caleb insists that father and son need to spend time together and, realizing he is right, Amy relents. Later, Kyle’s lawyer calls with big news for the family – but is it what they want to hear?

In an impulsive move, Amy pops the question to Matty, but Moira is horrified when her son admits he fears Amy’s proposal is just part of his plan to gain full custody of Kyle.

Moira wastes no time in sharing the news with Cain, who is furious and heads straight to Amy’s house to warn her that he has a fight on his hands.

6. Coronation Street: Stephen Accidentally Takes Drugs

(Mondays at 8pm on ITV1)

Stephen’s evil plan to oust Carla is gaining momentum as he holds a meeting with the shareholders and declares that they must hold a no-confidence vote against her. But her plan backfires when Faye warns Carla and she rages at him for trying to push her out of the deal.

The next day, as Carla prepares for the Nippersnapper performance, Stephen mixes LSD in her tea, but ends up accidentally drinking the drink.

Arriving at the hotel, Stephen goes on stage, but begins to have blurred vision and profuse sweating. Realizing his mistake, he lets Sarah go on without him, prompting Carla to stop her involvement with the American business.

Furious, Stephen leaves to buy more drugs, and a run-in with two young men makes the cobblestone killer see red.

7. EastEnders: Suki and Eve got into a fight

(Fridays at 7.30pm on BBC One)

Suki is alarmed when Nish reveals that the wedding blessing ceremony date has been brought forward and insists it is too short. Her husband is having none of this, however, and goes ahead with reorganizing the event.

Trouble is brewing when Suki calls in Mitch’s services to help fix a broken faucet, and Nish watches jealously as the handyman leaves Number 41.

Nish’s paranoia is heightened when Mitch reveals he was hired by Suki to help with her tenants and makes an ominous call to Ravi.

Later in Walford East, Suki overhears Nish and Ravi discussing Mitch and she nervously assures her husband that he is the only man for her.

Meanwhile, Eve is determined to win Suki back and confronts her lover, but the fight is interrupted by the sound of a door slamming. Realizing that they have been heard, the ladies panic, as they fear that the eavesdropper will undo their case.

8. Hollyoaks: Goldie is up to her old tricks

(Wednesday at 7pm on E4 and Thursday at 6.30pm on Channel 4)

Sally is devastated to learn from the school governor that she is unemployed. Her resignation means money is even tighter at the McQueen household and with the rent due, Sally insists she will fight for her role back.

Goldie is not convinced that Sally’s plan will work and decides to have a protest in the schoolyard with Hunter and Mercedes. But will it do more harm than good?

Penniless, the family brainstorms new ways to make a quick buck, and Goldie digs up an old relic to help her with her money-making idea.

Goldie’s schemes seem to be paying off when she opens a pop-up shop in the village. But when Prince gives away his possessions to the wrong person, mother and son are forced to act quickly to get them back.

9. Home and Away: Felicity and Eden are in serious danger

As night falls on the eve of Tane and Felicity’s wedding day, there is danger lurking in the shadows as Lloyd, a member of the biker gang, returns to the bay.

Having discovered that Cash is driving his sister to the ceremony, Lloyd vandalizes the wedding car in an act of revenge for Marty’s death.

Morning arrives and Felicity is debating whether or not to marry Tane. After begging Cash to call it off, Felicity barricades herself in a room and refuses to come out.

Time is ticking, so Cash and Gary let Eden try to convince Felicity and they drive to the ceremony in another car.

As an anxious Tane stands at the altar awaiting the arrival of his bride, back at the Parata house, Felicity has a sudden change of heart and tells Eden that she wants to get married after all.

The excited duo climb into the decorated wedding ute and drive away, unaware that the vehicle is leaking brake fluid from the biker gang’s secret sabotage. Is tragedy about to happen?
